OUR HISTORY

Chef Otilio grew up in Vera Cruz, Mexico, where fresh seafood is abundant, everyone grows their own food, and real Mexican culinary tradition is alive and well. He trained under a talented Greek chef in New York, and learned as much as he could everywhere he went.

Megan grew up on a cider and maple farm in upstate New York, where she learned the value of hard work, and the importance of supporting local farmers.  She attended culinary school, and at that time, met Otilio waiting tables in a Greek diner.

The two married and moved to Florida, where they opened the Nomad Cafe. With two strong culinary backgrounds and a deep rooted appreciation for knowing where food comes from. the concept of locally sourced and globally inspired just felt meant to be.
